Cummins Engines for Pickups

The Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel is making headlines in the 2016 Nissan TITAN XD. The engine provides the all new truck with 310 hp and 555 lb-ft or torque for a balance of capability and economy.

The
Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel engine is available in Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy-Duty pickup trucks. Approximately 75% of all Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy-Duty pickup owners choose the optional Cummins Turbo Diesel. Having 900 lb-ft of peak torque gives this workhorse more than enough power for any job.

The Ram 3500/4500/5500 Chassis Cabs are also available with the Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel engine that is rated at a max of 750 lb-ft. The 2013 Ram Chassis Cab features the same, proven, easy-to-upfit frame so you can put your current upfit on a new truck. The frames are engineered to make easy work of upfitting without extensive modifications.

Better. Where It Counts.
“Where it counts” can mean different things to different owners. That’s why Cummins heavy-duty engines are better in so many ways.

Two Powerhouses. One Powertrain.
Cummins, the leading diesel engine manufacturer, and Eaton®, the leader in heavy-duty transmissions, have joined forces to bring you the ultimate automated manual powertrain solution: the SmartAdvantage Powertrain™.

This totally integrated unit takes the efficiency of Cummins ISX15 with SmartTorque2 and combines it with the smooth-shifting Eaton Fuller Advantage™ 10-speed Automated Transmission for optimized performance with 3-6% better fuel economy.

Better Fuel Economy.
Cummins has taken our industry-leading fuel economy and improved it by up to 2% in 2013 by reducing parasitic losses, optimizing combustion, improving component efficiencies and needing fewer active aftertreatment regenerations.  Better fuel economy means lower operating costs and maximized profits.

Better Reliability And Durability.
Cummins designs, develops and supports every critical component from air handling to exhaust aftertreatment as a totally integrated system.  Only Cummins has the ability to optimize every function better than any other engine manufacturer.

Better Customer Support.
All Cummins engines come with a comprehensive base warranty and extended coverage options available up to 7 years/500,000 miles (804,672 km). They are backed by the largest and most capable parts and service network in North America, with over 3,500 locations.

2013 ISL9 and ISB6.7

Better. Where It Counts.

From dotted white lines to double yellow lines, business seems to be filled with lines. But there’s only one that really counts: your bottom line. And being better on the bottom line is what makes Cummins the most popular engines in medium-duty trucks throughout North America.

Better Fuel Economy.
Cummins is boosting the industry-leading fuel economy of our ISL9 and ISB6.7 engines up to 2% in 2013. How? The addition of an air intake throttle makes our Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) more efficient. The VGT™ Turbocharger on the ISL9 has been modified for greater efficiency. The result is a reduction in parasitic losses that increases fuel economy and lowers operating costs.

Better Reliability And Durability.
Cummins designs, develops and supports every critical component from air handling to exhaust aftertreatment as a totally integrated system. This allows us to optimize every function better than any other engine manufacturer.

The ISL9 and ISB6.7 meet 2014 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and United States Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for fuel economy and greenhouse gas reduction a year ahead of schedule without major hardware changes. This means you can expect the same proven reliability and durability you’ve come to expect from Cummins MidRange engines. On-Board Diagnostics are added in 2013, using a system already proven in thousands of on-road vehicles since 2007.

Better Customer Support.
Cummins engines come with a comprehensive base warranty, and multiple options for extended coverage. And they are backed by the largest and most capable parts and service network in North America, with over 3,500 locations.
